I have no connection to this whatsoever, but I was price checking for an 80s D 60 I'm about to sell and this popped up in my feed:

in case anybody's looking for one. All koa sounds interesting.
Anyhow, that's all; end transmission.

Looks like a nice guitar/value…especially considering it’s all koa.
With a soundwell and a thinner (less deep) body, I wonder what affect the koa has on the tone. Seems you’d get more “cone” sound contribution here, as opposed to an “L” type open body in koa..
This would be a fun one to test drive.

I've played several of Dick's guitars(none Koa) and they all sounded great. This looks like a good deal for someone.

Re the ones I've played or heard up close, there seems to be quite a bit of variation. Some I really liked while others are really "in your face." A good thing when overcoming an obnoxiously loud banjo at a jam but maybe not as "sweet" sounding as I prefer.

Here's one that seems like an amazing deal. But local pickup only. It is on Josh Swift's reso sales Facebook site:

That link didn't work Dan, and I'm even a member of that FB group (Resophonic Sales/Trades). Josh is one of four administrators who keep watch over the group.
I'll try a different link below, not sure it will work if one isn't a member. The guitar is bargained priced at $650.
One caveat - adding to what Dan wrote, the seller posted that he will not ship, local pickup only near Princeton, Kentucky. Being on the west coast, that eliminates me as a buyer. ![]()
If anyone is interested but they "don't do Facebook" I can get the seller's information for you.
