I've never played one, I started a spiel about this the other day and accidentally hit the back button, lost it, and lacked the energy to start over. 
But Luke pretty much wrote all you need to know.
There are seemingly dozens of el cheapo reso guitar brands built in China and imported by distributors throughout the world, the majority likely to the U.S. since this is the home of the dobro.
With some of the brands, you can't tell one from the next except for having a different logo on the headstock along with perhaps a few subtle differences in trim. Many are cranked out in the same factory.
I was an outside sales rep for a bunch of years, and when I would travel to different cities I liked to visit guitar stores. I would periodically test drive these guitars just for kicks but after awhile it got to be repetitive mediocrity so eventually I pretty much stopped doing it.
