Take a look at My Jesus Rios Reso Guitar , He has made 23 Guitars for Me and I think they are Good . All types of Wood are available including Brasilian Rosewood.
These Guitars are a modified copy of My old Model 37 Dobro , That I learned how to play on. Here are 2 links to 2 videos on My latest Guitar , I sent this Guitar to Johnny Bellar , He likes it.
The Jennifers Waltz Video is My Son , the volume is bad , but You can see the Guitar .He also started on My old 37 and is much better Player than I am. I had the Honor of learnig from Brother Oswald and We had a 30 year Friendship
I can get You a new Custom made Guitar delivered in 3 months for about $1700 Dollars

You should be able to find a good Beard resonator guitar for that price. Are there any good acoustic guitar shops near you?

Check out Dick Deneves instruments, they'll fit your budget. He makes the standard R models and the more modern open D models. There are a few reviewed on this site.

With $2000 to spend you should be able to buy a nice, made just for you, custom reso from any number of good quality builders. Look at a lot of them before you spend your money on something that everyone else has. You could have a one of a kind reso very easily.

For that kind of money, I could set you up with not one, but TWO of my Red Line Rambler guitars! Satisfaction guaranteed, or your money back. With our current "Cyber Sale" that is taking place, you would even have enough dough left over for a nice strap for each one. Better hurry though, only one day left for the lower prices (and you don't have to buy two, you know....).
Of course, a custom build is also an option. But you'd only get one of those at that price..

Right now, won't last long, you can get a blemished Gold Tone solid mahogany squareneck with case for $750 at Beard Guitars Resophonic Outfitters. Thats about the best bang for the buck you will ever see, a solid mahogany squareneck set up with Beard parts at the Beard shop. They always sell out quick. Have not seen any blems for sale since Feb 08. I've had one of them and what they call blemishes are usually hard to spot.
I love my walnut D body from Dick DeNeve. If you want the large body sound you might give him a call to see if he has any instruments ready to go: 315-695-6342. Mine was $1700 shipped. I've never seen any posts from an unhappy DeNeve owner.

You do know that #2 edition might be a collectors item one day when Redlines sell like that other one.

Dick Deneve doesn't have a website but can be contacted at richard_d13132@yahoo.com or 315.695.6342.

Yeah, somebody ought to get with Bobby about his Red Line, Serial No. 0002. I own #0001, and have vowed not to sell it, so that makes #0002 the lowest number on the open market. Plus, it would free up some dough for Bobby, and maybe I could build him his next guitar!
Plus, as far as I know, this will be the first Red Line to sell as a used instrument.

Well Phil I know what you are saying is true........... And I really don't want to part with it, but being a slightly less than RICH man, I can't afford the luxury of keeping this one while a new one is being built........wish I could.....
