I have put on hundred's of nuts on stringed instruments and was just getting ready to put on a nut on a dobro style guitar. Then the light bulb clicked on and I realised its more important to get all the strings flat on top with each other rather than follow a radius. In fact going to get back the nut I put another dobro to check it . This is just something laying around with a neck thats no fun to play that I am setting up learn to how to play and learn on no resonator but will have a tailpiece and played open G . Its time I learned somethng besides fixing.![]()

If you raise the nut very much you stand a good chance of breaking the neck at the headstock.
