I'm getting ready to buy a Regal RD 40. They come with both a spruce and mahogony top. I like the looks of the spruce much better, but I was wondering what the tonal difference would be, if any. Thanks

If the wood is laminated (plywood) I seriously doubt you will hear any difference. I spoke to Abe Wechter about this and that is his opinion although he said his dealers probably wouldn't agree with him.
