Anyone care to give their opinion on quality, sound or price? The asking price is around $450 (it's in great condition).

I was also looking at the Republic resolian or single cone full sized model.

I've never played one before but am expanding my musical horizon and think that a reso would be awesome. not looking for a break the bank model but know that you get what you pay for.

Any advice would be appreaciated.

I have a feeling this one will go for higher than $450. eBay bidders do their serious bidding in the last minute.

I have a thing about the old slothead Dobros. I love em. I have three from 76 to 95.

It looks like a keeper to me. I have a '77 model 60D-S that I don't play much anymore but it will stay in the family. May be one of my grandsons will learn to play it right. The '73 seems to be in good shape. If it's what you're looking for, go for it.
With a little set up work, the 70's models can be very respectable in a jam.

Wood body and metal body are very different resos, as are spider and biscuit cone resos. I'm a huge republic fan, but I will tell you that comparing a '73 wood body dobro and a republic anything is like comparing apples and tomatoes.
