I'm restoring a 1935 Dobro Model 32. I need a headstock decal - lol. Anmy idea where I could get original one or a good copy? What colors were used during this year of manufacture? This one looks like it was painted gold originally The one I'm restoring has been painted Martha Stewart green. Not a bad job but, hey: NOT ORIGINAL! Question: will leaving it this color hurt its resale value..?

It sounds like you have a metal guitar, if so, a lot of them were painted gold. You can't hurt it much now, as the damage has already been done. (green....YUK ) I dont know if you could remove the green without taking the original finish off. It depends what the original finish consisted of. The best person to ask is Dobro Collector / Historian Randy Getz. His Email is bgdobro@ptd.net
