Been playing my used Mike Auldridge (Beard) now for approx 4 months. It felt foreign to me after playing my 86 dobro since 1987, But I must say its really starting to sing for me. The tone is really something else. I pick up my old 86 Dobro every once in a while.... but soon I;m back on the MA. At this stage I'm sure happy with the purchased of it. I receive nothing but good comments on the sound when I play out. leegee

Not long ago I played a new MA -6 Beard for th efirst time. It was the best sounding new reso. I've ever played. They have to be consistant if Mike plays them all before the ship. Enjoy it.

I bought a new 2007 Auldridge in Feb this year.
Prior to that I was playing a PBSM which I absolutely love.
Before that I played a 1974 60D round neck set up as square neck, great guitar also. I still own both of the old instruments.
Niether of these compare to the Auldridge.
I haven't touched either of the other instruments to much.
I went to the Beard factory and they assured me that Mr Auldridge played each guitar and they had to sound likes his does as he would play it.
I am extremely happy with my guitar.

Another satisfied Beard MA-6 (MA-6-213). I've been playing it for a little over a year now and it has really opened up since I bought it new. It is a cannon and sweet as a mother's lullaby. I use Sheerhorn Cryogenic strings on it with the 17/19 1st and 2nd, they seem to last a lot loner, have a great sound and stay consistent throughout their time on the Dobro. I used to change on the average of every other week, more often depending on how much I was playing, the Sheerhorns last at least a month and have lasted a little longer and normally I change them just becuase it doesn't seem right to play on "Old Strings" but I've never run a set through until they started to go flat. If you're looking for strings, give'm a try.

It's great to hear that other MA owners are as happy as I am. Hats off to Mike for assuring that all instruments with his name on it must meet his approval before leaving the Beard factory... leegee
