I spent my evening with a man who had 4 resonator guitars and unfortunately selling only one. He had two Harlow's, a Mckenna and an Adams. I was there for about 3 hours talking and playing reso's. I did buy the Adam's which was the only one for sale and he gave me a great price on it. I especially liked one of the Harlows You could tell was his favorite due to the wear. The Mckenna was also a great sounding guitar. But hands down the Harlow I believe it was walnut was the best. I took a step up with the Adams and still looking to have a custom built at the end of the year. What a great evening.

Phil, Sounds like fun and well worth the time spent. I've only heard one Adams reso in my life. It was the same night I met Patrick Sylvest. ...his reso. Great guy...great player....great sounding guitar. So as far as I can say ...You're in good company. Congratulations.

Congratulations on your new reso. Phil! It's a great time to be a player, that is for sure. There are a lot of independent builders out there these days, doing a great job with their building, and many keeping the prices within the range of affordability.
