Bobby,

Thanks, give me a little time to think about that. How long till you get your P-Body R.L.?

Brent,

I love the hook in the back of the neck heel?? He just does not do that anymore, the hook might react with the finish or something?? I think he decided the sound is his trademark.. I can hear it!!

I am hooked!!

BTW I like the Access hard case as well...

Sharp looking and super sturdy!!

I agree with the sound being JD's signature - no doubt about it. I just thought that the inlayed hook in the heel was a really cool idea to go along with the name of his guitars. All well, it's hard to look at it if you're playing anyways. Here is a pic:

The Access cases are great. I was told that Access stopped producing the Stage 5 cases JD uses, so treasure the one you have. I know I do.

I bought four of the Last Stage 5 cases that access made and I use them on my personal guitars. The stage 3 is nice, sure wish I could get the Stage 5 again but they aren't going to be making any more of them. masteresoguitars.com

I do wish mine had a hook in the heel. Oh well..

JD is has been waiting on the stage 5 access for a while now. My case is a stage 3. It is heavy duty with a black gator skin look to it. Built like a tank for sure.

I am loving everything about this Koa. Even the jumbo frets are polished and shine like jewelery.

I got the chance to play Square Neck's Fishook on Tuesday and it's an awesome reso !!! It made my Regal sound like it had a pillow for a resonator. I have never played a better Dobro than this one and I have been to Elderly's in Ann Arbor trying out everything they had. The craftsmanship is outstanding and the bass response is so loud that at shocked me at first. Hats off to J.D. and congrats to Square Neck!

Thanks Detroit!!

I thought you sounded great playing it. I'll tell ya I think it sounds better every hour LOL. It sure sounded nice through that mic while you were up there! I think this one is quite the "masterpiece" that JD has built. I'm glad you had fun with her. Its always cool to have someone else pick on your guitar. They sure sound different from across a room.

BTW..I like that tues jam!! They have my beer on tap, a ton of room, and the sound is great!!

Merry Christmas bro!!

Yep, this Hook is like a nuclear bomb with a side mounted sniper rifle. It can do it all, from big and loud or sweet and soft its all there and clear as a bell.
