Resonator Guitar Lovers Online
My rotation starts with using each reso that I have ( 4 ) to keep them 'excercised' as they say. Each time I practice, I will use a different instrument not only for the excercise but for the enjoyment of playing a guitar that sounds unlike the others I have. This leads to anticipation on my part not only to practice scales and rolls, but to keep up my 'chops' and learn new tunes or just to be noodling around different keys to see what I can find to add to my list of licks. Once I find something new, I will translate that lick into every key to see where the best position is in which to use it. I very seldom use a capo but this brings up more interesting ways to find new sounds in familiar chord patterns. The new 'HipShot" and Jackson de-tuners is a whole new world to explore and I am anxious to try out one of these devices on my resos. But for now, Just using all my resos in a rotation method will keep me going for a very long time. As usual, I welcome any comments from our members out there. Just post on my home page on this web-site .
