One of the most interesting squareneck guitars to come out of National Resophonics in recent years: the Smith and Young Model 11, named after the company's top two executives, who conceived and oversaw its development. It was their effort to create a no-frills reso with massive volume, sustain, and complexity.
They created a cannon. (Some call it a Smith and Wesson.) You can read its story here: reverb.com/item/4908427-nation...-11-dobro
. . . and hear one here: youtube.com/watch?v=MveJXX-srhw
It has a maple laminate body, spider cone, satin finish, K and K pickup, and original hardshell case. I'm the first owner. It's about two years old and very clean.
$1,000 or best reasonable offer. About trades: I'd consider a less expensive US-made squareneck (like an OMI Dobro) if you'll add enough cash to more or less level the playing field.
