One of the most interesting squareneck guitars to come out of National Resophonics in recent years: the Smith and Young Model 11, named after the company's top two executives, who conceived and oversaw its development. It was their effort to create an economy reso with massive volume and sustain.
They succeeded. Some call it a Smith and Wesson. You can read its story here: reverb.com/item/4908427-nation...-11-dobro
. . . and hear one here: youtube.com/watch?v=MveJXX-srhw
It has a maple laminate body, spider cone, satin finish, K and K pickup, and original hardshell case. I'm the first owner. It's about two years old and very clean.
$1,200 or best reasonable offer. About trades: I'd consider a lesser US-made squareneck (e.g. an OMI Dobro) plus enough cash to more or less level the playing field.
