Up for sale is a USA-made Gibson F-60 Squareneck Dobro / Resonator Guitar. I purchased it in 2002 and I have been told it was made the same year. The number on the end of the headstock is D2072220. It's in excellent condition other than a couple marks on the corner as shown in the pictures. It has a nice looking flame maple sunburst on it. I'm only selling because I added to my collection and need to make room. Comes with a strap, a Shubb-Pearse SP1 steel/slide, and original hard shell case.
I think they stopped producing resonator guitars under the Dobro name after the Gibson factory flooded. This is the square neck version (i.e. with a raised nut for slide/bluegrass/country/Hawaiian style) of the F-60.
Specs include: maple body & neck w/ dark sunburst finish, f-shaped soundholes, no body or neck binding. Soundwell, 10 1/2" spun resonator cone w/ spider bridge, "fan" design coverplate, rosewood fretboard, solid peghead, Grover Sta-tite gears. Wooden hardshell case.
