I see you're a Kelly Joe Phelps fan, as am I. Please tell us how you came to play Weissenborn, and who made that gorgeous instrument on your home page.

	matango says: 5/31/2014 12:23:00 AM Thank you for the welcome. I noticed the splendor of the lap steel guitar to listen to music of Kelly Joe. phelps. And I arrived at weissenborn guitar when I checked a lap steel guitar. I was charmed by the appearance and beauty of the sound. I purchase weissenborn guitar from Australian luthier, Richard Wilson the other day and am practicing now. I can't really speak English, but please be friends with me.

However, I did not meet, but there is Mr. Japanese famous player Nobu Sugino in my area. I practice to see various pictures of Youtube now. There are few players of weissenborn in Japan and has a hard time to obtain information

There is another japnese Weissenborn player who calls himself "Lonesome Dobro" on You Tube: youtube.com/watch?v=V7tArFyp2YI John Wilde is a drummer who has posted many You Tube videos. In his earlier videos, he played rather slowly, making it easier to learn the tunes he was playing. Here's an eary medley: youtube.com/watch?v=dWRkNYs_RUc As for learning, forum member Troy Benningmeyer offers many good video lessons in Open D tuning in his "weissenborn" and "dobro" categories. lessonswithtroy.com/home.php bahilton's Sheebeg and Sheemore video in the righthand column of our group page is from one of Troy's lessons. Rob Anderlik also has many tabs with accompanying videos. He's a wonderful player. His website, robanderlik.com is offline right now, but you can find his videos on You Tube. He is a member of this forum. Feel free to send him an email or post a new thread about material to learn on. Other's can chime in with the resources I've missed.
