It's my first Weissenborn style guitar. I doubt it will be the last. I've got a lot of learning to do. I'm just getting to know it. I'm finding te Weissenborn takes a considerably gentler touch than the dobro or lap steel both of which I've played for some time. I think I'm in love or at least pretty darned infatuated at the moment. Dennis

Kept looking at others though and I ran across a steal on the Bear Creek you see for the group photo. Ed Gerhard was responsible for my infatuation with this instrument. I know I repeat myself but I haven't made it available to you. It's now on my list of tunes to learn. The Gold Tone is what I can afford now and I know I'll get another Weissenborn some day (or make one (or two(or...))). The GT is not "built to last" as they say. We'll see what I can learn from it though. A Bear Creek would be nice but I would be eating "Cat Food Sandwiches" and sleeping in the dog house if I went after one at this point. Do you know what I mean?
