Good to have you here. Tell us a little bit about yourself. Don't be shy we are a friendly group here. If you need anything just let us know. Some very knowledgeable people here Including a premiere Weissenborn luthier/builder Tony Francis. Anyway, again welcome.

	CaseyHunter says: 4/21/2012 3:35:17 PM Thanks Grizz for the welcome! I am glad there is a weiss specific group. I got a ton of questions, but will slowly ask them as I go. I am a newb to the lap steel. I have been playing accoustic guitar for about 15 years and have dabbled with bottleneck slide style. The lap steel really appealed to me once I realized it was using a lot of the same open tunings I have been playing with for years. However, when I got mine I realized it was a completely different beast. I am totally hooked on it. My only regret was not getting a better built weiss. I got the Superior which while functional and sounds great really lacks the quality of construction and finish I would expect from 1200 instrument. So I will be saving up my pennies and either getting a nicer version or a dobro. Looking forward to getting to know you all. Casey
