	Tom_Noe says: 7/19/2012 2:25:24 PM The late Dan Most and I had a lot of fun together doing that book. All the Knutsen harp guitars in the book were Dan's, and of course the steel guitars are mine. I just authored a piece on Hermann Weissenborn for the Grove American Dictionary of Music which will be published later this year. I continue to do research on the man himself and have uncovered a lot of new information. Thank you for the comments on the Knutsen book, which is still available.

This book is a "must have" for all of you Weissenborn (and Knutsen) aficionados in this group. I refer to it often and consider it the encyclopedia of Weissenborns. It's worth the cost of the book just for the gorgeous pictures of vintage Weissenborns (which are totally non-existent in South Florida). What's the latest status of the solid neck Weissenborn that you were having Tony Francis build for you? Did you get it, or is it still a work in progress? Thanks, Andy Fekete (aka Gitman44)

I think I still owe you some pix of the guitar (spruce top, maple b/s) that I had to rebuild. The Tony Francis solid-neck is still a work in progress--this is a replica of an early Weissenborn and Tony is working from just photos and a crude dimensional drawing. Thank you for your comments regarding the book. Speaking of the book, Mike, I had 3000 copies printed up in 1999 and have 2000+ copies left! I was a labor of love and done before the days of the internet. lol The link to my website is listed in my profile; however by contacting me directly I will sell the book for $35 postpaid Priority Mail for US buyers, or $45 International Priority Mail outside the US. I'll sign 'em if requested, and PayPal is acceptable.
