	Geoff says: 11/23/2012 5:05:00 PM Hi Guys, I will be retiring in a month and want to build some more guitars as a hobby, definately will be building a Weissenborn as well as a square neck 9 1/2" cone 'National'. lots of good plans are in the mail so I will be starting early in the new year - will keep all posted. With John Copley's assistance I built a blackwood resonator a few years ago, it is now tuned to DADF#AD and sounds great, that was the inspiration to start a Weissenborn. I'll probably do another 'dobro' as well. I love tabbing out my favorite player's music and you may have seen some of the tabs here as well as ResoNation. I love collecting tabs and music. Love playing (flat pick and finger picks) but it is mostly for me, there's not a big music scene here in Canberra though I will get out more after retirement. Cheers, All Geoff

And, what do you like about tabbing out songs? Recently, I started learning an Ed Gerhard tune from a youtube video (Killing the Blues). I found the way he approached the song and the Weissenborn was very different than what I've learned so far. It was like a Vulcan mind meld. I thought: "If only I could tab this out, I'd understand the Weissenborn differently." Is it like that for you?
