Thanks, Liz and Rob. Today I'm playing an all metal "Weissie"; a National Hollowneck Tricone. I've been playing a Jim Adams square neck acoustic in open D for a while now. My National arrived tuned to G so I have taken the plunge and decided to learn it. Way out of my comfort zone...

If I can swing the finances, I've got my eye on a Rayco Style 4 that Bill Warmoth took on consignment at Artisan Guitars in Nashville. It's six years old and in perfect condition. The owner is asking $3500. A new one is $4200, so it looks like a pretty good deal.

Betty Wheeler just posted a video announcing Mike's passing on RESO-GUIT, so I'm going to watch that now.

Peace be with you!

I've wondered about that hollowneck National since the day I read about them. Love that you call it a metal-body Weiss.

Thanks for posting here about Mike's passing. I never met Mike, but I've watched so many videos of him. Heaven has another angel and earth won't be the same without him.

The Rayco you mentioned, is it like this one?

I played the Rayco that is at Artisan a few weeks ago and it completely blew me away - gorgeous sounding instrument.

This is what happens when I go deep into the mosaic zone and try to do anything else! Rereading the ebay description, I see they are the same guitar. Sorry for the slip-up. I'm going back to my cave now. Be back out in a few days, with more normal attention. Happy New Year, everybody.
