Hi,

I'm getting ready to start my weissenborn build after finally getting some wood (koa). I have a set of plans from the original models and the body depth is max just under 3 1/4". I wanted to get some opinions if people have heard some of the models that are deeper to see it does anything to the sound other than deeper bass sounds. Before the sides are cut I could modify the dimensions a bit.

	Liz Williams says: 1/17/2013 7:13:19 PM I wish I could help, Steve-o, but I haven't heard the deeper bodied Weissies. Maybe a luthier could help you sort this out. Tony Francis is a member of this group i think Daniel Brauchli builds a deeper Weiss as does Larry Pogreba. Neil of Celtic Cross builds Konas which have deeper bodies, so perhaps he'd have a perspective. I hope you'll come back here to share what you learn and that you'll post pictures of your build.
