... particularly Mr. Noe, who "wrote the book", as it were. My 1926 Weiss has an interesting structural feature (I hesitate to call it a "defect" just yet). Notice the position of the sound hole; it's off center to the right a bit. Ever seen this?

	Liz Williams says: 1/20/2013 10:32:53 AM It looks like the builder cheated the fingerboard over to the right a little too. Interesting!
	Tom_Noe says: 1/20/2013 10:52:33 AM Things don't quite line up on this guitar. In the photo, the hole is slightly off center to the right, and the fingerboard is shifted slightly left, accentuating the misalgnment. Also, the bridge is shifted slightly to the right in an attempt to compensate. I measured your photograph with calipers to see this. I have seen this sort of thing before, but not to this degree. In fact, many of the teardrop models for some reason are almost the same way. But who knows what went wrong that day in building this guitar?

	Tom_Noe says: 1/21/2013 8:25:11 AM Hermann Weissenborn's son died suddenly of a brain hemorrhage in July 1926 and no one was running the shop for a while. This was when Rudy Dopyera was brought in as shop foreman.
