Looped Weissie

From CaseyHunter on 3/2/2013 8:07:17 PM

I have wanted to get a looping pedal for years.  I just didn't like the idea of all the other parts required (i.e. amp, pre-amp,pickup,pedal, and tons of cords).  I wanted one to help me to practice my timing, scales, and jamming technique.

I finally got around to getting one, and I am pretty excited. I got the Digitech Jamman Solo XT, and it not only works really well for looping, but also for recording. Until now, I have had to use my phone or a computer mic to record.  The Jamman works a lot better and is fairly easy to use.

I am still short a pre-amp and some effects pedals. So what I have recorded has been straight out of the pickup into the amp.

Chain: Seymour Duncan MagMic-->Jamman-->Roland Micro Cube

I posted some samples on my soundcloud page, they are all pretty short, but I am still figuring out how to use it.

After playing around with it for a few hours today,  I think this may open up a lot of interesting possibilities for me and the Weissenborn.

Hi chunter,

I got a digitech jamman solo just 2 weeks ago. Haven't used it a lot since then since I don't have a pickup for my weissenborns yet. So for now I record with my regular guitar and play solos with my weissenborn. I'm satisfied with the jamman because it's pretty easy to use. Would be better though to get a pickup for my weissies. Your samples sound very good!
