Hi,

I'm currently planning a trip to Florida (vacation). Does anybody know of any vintage guitar stores there that offer original weissenborns? I will arrive in Tampa and then travel around by car for a couple of days (Miami etc.). In Germany there are no stores that offer original weissenborns so it would be great to know.

	Liz Williams says: 4/28/2013 8:46:21 AM I don't know of any vintage guitar stores in Florida. Maybe some of our other members can pitch in. You might try checking miami.craigslist.org That's a long-shot, but they do turn up from time-to-time. Good luck and let us know what you find.
	TheKrowe says: 4/28/2013 5:28:35 PM I am from Orlando, and there was a used guitar specialty shop on Orange Ave., but Jeff closed it up a few years back for lack of revenue. Over the years of haunting that shop I saw tons of spendy electrics, acoustics, and Fender amps that qualify as vintage collectibles, but never a Weissie or even a good quality reso unless it was an early National. Being that there are only a couple thousand originals in existence, odds are pretty slim you'll find one hanging on a dealer's wall. There is one at Randy Woods Guitars in savannah, back in the boneyard corner where nothing sells. It's $2500, and is beaten, broken, cracked and missing some parts. That's the only original I've seen in a store.
