Healdsberg Guitar Festival - Who else is going?

I love this festival. It's dedicated to acoustic fingerstyle guitar, and the playing and luthier eye candy are fantastic. This year it's August 9-11 in Santa Rosa, California.

If some of you are going - or want to go - it occurs to me that we could have an in-person Weissenborn group and get the chance to meet face-to-face and play each other's guitars. What do you think?

	Bob Blair says: 6/14/2013 6:11:10 PM Yeah Bruce, you're about as far away as you can get and still be in the same country. It looks to be well worth a trip though. I was happy to get flights that were both direct and cheap. People come from everywhere to the steel guitar conventions in Dallas and St. Louis, and to Resosummit. It would be cool if that could start happening for weissenborn - something Liz and I have both been talking about a bit.
RickW says: 6/14/2013 8:44:17 PM Milwaukee isn't exactly central to the US, but if people get serious about a weissenborn gathering, I could host at a private club with rooms of various sizes, to accommodate however many wanted to come and play.

	Liz Williams says: 6/15/2013 10:37:02 AM That's an interesting offer, Rick, and as long as planes go there, it's central enough. We have 88 members here, and get at least one person a week signing up. The Weissenborn Information Exchange page on Facebook page has over 200. That number probably includes manh of the members here. If we could show that there is interest, I bet luthiers would come.
