So I have been playing my recently acquired Style 1 Weissenborn for a few days after she came back from the shop and generally it's been great, however the nut is too far gone and needs to be replaced. The action is too low (about 4mm) and there's no way to make the strings level with respect to the steel bar. My repair lady doesn't know too much about the specifics of these guitars and I don't want to have her put an incorrect nut on the guitar. Any help with regards to sourcing an appropriate bone nut blank would be appreciated.
Would a square neck dobro nut blank work?
