best case for a weissenborn style one

From yeti on 8/4/2013 8:44:19 PM

More questions regarding my new acquisition. The Weissenborn came with original pocket case, very charming but utterly useless. It offers no protection and I am finding little hairline scratches that must be the result of me inserting,/ removing the guitar from the case, definitely not cool.

What is the best option regarding cases. I know that goldtone makes one but it doesn't exactly ooze style and for $138.00 I'd expect a bit more. Any suggestions?

You could try visiting a music store and seeing which guitar case fits your instrument. Usually r cases have a pocket fitted to prop up the neck,...this can sometimes be removed with a screwdriver. Then you may find the case is too deep,...just line the bottom with an inch or so of foam rubber or however much you need to make it fit snugly.

I got a gold tone case for mine: the best feature is the pocket, which is not under the neck, but at the top above the headstock, so you don't even have to remove the guitar to access it. Cleverest design out there, IMO.
