We're glad to have another member from down under. When you get a minute, let us know how you came to the Weissenborn and what you're up to. We love pictures, videos and audio files too (no pressure!) - anything that helps us eat, sleep and breathe Weissenborn.

Our members have a lot of knowledge among them, so your questions are welcome too.

welshruss says: 8/29/2013 3:20:55 AM Thanks Liz, I play a "Fijian" Mahogany weiss made by Tim Kill in 2010. Mainly stays in D tunings with John Pearce strings and a Tribo tone bar. I came to the weiss via Jeff Lang and Harry Manx, after playing lap on a normal 6 string acoustic guitar with a nut riser after discovering Kelly Joe Phelps many moons ago. I'm also a fan of Jack Rose and John Fahey. I've played acoustic guitars for years I moved from Wales to Aus and discovered the weissenborn. Russ
	Liz Williams says: 8/29/2013 6:53:49 PM Tim Kill's guitars are beauties. I have a deep-bodied mahogany Weiss that I love the sound of - so much bass. Of the players you mentioned, Harry Manx abd Kelly Joe Phelps are particular favorites of mine. I had the opportunity to hear Kelly Joe recently and was riveted by the magic he created. He had the entire audience entranced for his hourlong set. Thanks for your post, Russ. I enjoyed learning a little about you.
