Just a note to any of you Weiss players. I have been using my tribotone tone bar from my pedal steel with my Weiss and am amazed at how much it reduces the string noise. I knew this from my Pedal and Lap steel but was blown away when recording how quiet it is.

They are a little hard to come by these days as the person who makes them appears to have other interest, but if you can find one, try it you will like it.

	Bob Blair says: 12/21/2013 3:54:26 PM I'm a big fan of those bars - pretty much all I use for pedal steel. I found the same thing on weiss, but eventually I found that a bullet bar did not suit what I was doing on weiss. Eric was talking about a dobro-style bar as being the next phase, and I hope he gets back into production and makes that happen.

	Bob Blair says: 12/21/2013 5:04:49 PM I like the straight end for some of the single string stuff I do - hammering on and pulling off etc. I started playing dobro with a bullet bar because as a long time PSG player it was what I was used to, but switching to a tipton bar made a big difference. And eventually I carried that over to weiss - that decision kind of was made when I was tang a lesson from Kevin Brown. Still use a bullet for psg of course.
