Well, here I am, dobro picker on the south coast of the UK.
Bio says it mostly.
Spent a rainy August Sunday recording all my solo repertoire, - not sure why - I've ade two solo albums ('99 and '03) and most recently made an album (2010) with the Clfton-Perry Conundrum, now sadly defunct due to illness.
My Dobro is a Gibson '97 Model 27, but with Beard cone and spider (to correct intonation problems, and custom ebony saddles and widened bone nut.
I don't give my instruments normanlly but this dobro is called "George" in memory of the fine gent that I bught it from who sold it to me (for a pittance) as he knew he was very ill. He passed earlier this year - and I miss him.
I'd like a Beard some time - but Beards are not distributed in the UK.
Anyway - this is my foirst entry, and my first "blog".
