Hi folks and thanks for having me. Although as Groucho Marks once said "I would never join a club that would have me as a member" In this case however I shall make an exception. :)
I own a 1931 Dobro which I have had for 20 years. I am the second owner and the first owner had it from new. I would be delighted to show you some pic's but I cannot fathom how to upload them.
I would be grateful for some info on a National vintage steel tricone that I have just bought. Firstly the date written on the inside is "10. 05" . Is that October 2005 or May 2010 ?
The serial number is 1301 if this helps date it. Again I wish I had the wit to upload a pic' but alas...
The model designation written inside says "V.S Tricone" . I have searched the net to try and find an exact model but cannot as mine has an ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl diamonds and an ivoroid cream headstock. The only others I can find have dot markers and a plain wood headstock.
So if anyone can throw any light as to the year and exact model I would be grateful.
