In 1980 I purchased 3pcs. electric guitars from OMI Huntington beach, Cal. Ron Lazar of OMI wanted to expand their line of products and he came up with the special idea to have several layers of laminated woods in different colors in the middle of the body and neck. The instruments have 2 DiMarzio pickups.
The guitars I have do not show any serial number so I assume these were either prototypes or just from the beginning of production. I lost track in later 1980's and would like to find out whether these guitars really went to production and if someone would know, how many were produced.
