I've been very slack and neglected to blog here, Sorry! I still have the same Reso; A Martinez squareneck that has a lipstick tube pickup. The pickup is usable with help, but recently I bit the bullet and changed the cone. I replaced the dreadful factory cone with a very, very nice Replogle unit. My Reso now sounds like a Reso! Next step will be a saddle & spider swap. If the metallurgy standard in the factory spider is the same as the metallurgy and craftsmanship in the factory cone, It's gotta go. I'll keep you posted.
Cheers,
Al.

Born at a very young age of two parents in Brisbane Australia. Decided to be a musician at the age of seven, to the exclusion of almost everything else. I don't remember regretting that decision. Ever.
