Hi all---new to this site, fairly new to dobro playing, but love the sound--always have. Any other beginners, and any tips? I rely a lot on my ear for music and you tube for learning new licks, and becoming more proficient on this lovely instrument ( I have a Johnson, which is fairly common I see). I just can't seem to get the hang of insanely fast picking--maybe with daily disciplined practice which I am not doing at present. Need to retire. Anyways, I welcome any tips.

Still learning on dobro, but play it more than any of my other instrument--have always loved the sound. Run a weekly jam, and play in a couple of bluegrass groups.
