Hello, newbie here from Dunnellon, florida. I purchased a johnson by axl, 998-2 metal body . Chinese special. I am left handed and the machine is set up right. Are their any consequences if i switch the machine to left hand. ?? This is a roundneck unit. The second question is What do you use to polish this machine. It needs cleaning but I don't want to pull the chrome. I am using a mixture for now containing one ounce of DI water with one ounce of denatured alcohol with one drop of baby oil. It works sort of and requires lots of elbow grease. I would like to spiff it up. That would make me feel better. Any other reccommends?
Concerning the leftie changeover I wonder about the neck and if changes might occur when it is restressed. The string anchor holes are fairly close and should not present a problem.
THanks for your thoughts,, I need lots and lots of practice . The machine is mellow compared to others and a bit Hawaiian sounding...FWIW..
