Hey all, I'm new here. Just bought this Republic Highway 61 and I love it. I was wondering if any of you have seen these modifications before. The cover plate is raised by using studs I think with a nut between the body and the cover, (the cover does not touch the body ) with acorn nuts on top and 1/4th of the cover was cut away by the tail piece. The bridge cover was removed which is great for palm muting. This thing is much louder than its size and I love the tone. They did put to much radius on the nut which is great for finger style but not for slide. I'll be changing that. I've been around the guitar scene a long time but this is a first for me. Let me know.
