Heck it is one way to connect with this group. I build and repair guitars and have have a Phil Ledbetter dobro on my bench that the neck has become loose on. It is either the bolts through shrinkage or the bottom of the block has come unglued. So... there is this reflector plate glued into a slotted back brace that prevents access. I thought that they would simply have used hide glue to make removal easy but after using a heat gun it seems that whoever put this in glued the reflector into the slot with superglue (spill over on surface of plexi doesn't soften with heat). SO... has anyone had to deal with this before I just remove the whole brace? It seems that this is a major flaw when you have a bolt on neck and this reflector could simply be screwed to a back strip to make this process really simple!

p.s I have a wonderful '29 national of my own that I am going to make a replacement mahogany neck for but using the peghead design and profile of the original bakelite neck that I really like. I might even do a special lacquer finish to approximate the tortoise look of the original.
