"The Water Is Wide" (also called "O Waly, Waly") is a folk song of Scottish origin, based on lyrics that partly date to the 1600sIt remains popular in the 21st century. Cecil Sharp published the song in Folk Songs From Somerset (1906). It is related to Child Ballad 204, Jamie Douglas, which in turn refers to the ostensibly unhappy first marriage of James Douglas, 2nd Marquis of Douglas to Lady Barbara Erskine. I HOPE YOU ENJOY

"The Wabash Cannonball" is an American folk song about a fictional train, thought to have originated in the late nineteenth century. Its first documented appearance was on sheet music published in 1882, titled "The Great Rock Island Route" and credited to J. A. Roff. All subsequent versions contain a variation of the chorus: Now listen to the jingle, and the rumble, and the roar, As she dashes thro' the woodland, and speeds along the shore, See the mighty rushing engine, hear her merry bell ring out, As they speed along in safety, on the "Great Rock-Island Route." A rewritten version by William Kindt appeared in 1904 under the title "Wabash Cannon Ball".[1] The Carter Family made one of the first recordings of the song in 1929, though it was not released until 1932. Another popular version was recorded by Roy Acuff in 1936.[1] The Acuff version is one of the fewer than forty all-time singles to have sold 10 million (or more) physical copies worldwide.

This was done for a young lady whom I played in a band with..............she was employed at the hospital and there she dropped dead of a heart attack. In spite of being at the hospital, she was gone. I do not do this great song justice....but its not about me , it is about paying respects. GOD Bless

The Westphalia Waltz is an historic Texas waltz by Cotton Collins, a fiddler with the Lone Star Playboys, named after the town of Westphalia, Texas. The Westphalia Waltz melody is derived from a well known Polish tune that goes by several names, among them "Pytala Sie Pani" and "Wszystkie Rybki." The waltz was later popularized by Hank Thompson on a 1955 Capitol Records recording

"You Light Up My Life" is a ballad written by Joseph "Joe" Brooks, and originally recorded by Kasey Cisyk for the soundtrack album to the 1977 film of the same title. The song was lip synced in the film by its lead actress, Didi Conn. The best-known version of the song is a cover by Debby Boone, the daughter of singer Pat Boone. It held the #1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for ten consecutive weeks in 1977, setting a new record for that time. She topped Record World magazine's Top 100 Singles Chart for a record of 13 weeks.
