Another cut from the session with None Of The Above. I liked the capture of my ol model 27 on this cut. Everything was recorded at Jody Kigs studio and he did a great job mastering.

Another session job on a project called "folkpsalm". A good friend of mine and member of the Shady Grove Band has taking psalms from the bible and added his own melodies. We have just wrapped up recording on FolkPsalm III. This is from teh 1st project.

A cut from an older SGB Cd. This is me channeling Mike Auldridge-haha. I tried to go for his feel on this cut. This is a Charles Pettee original and a great tune. This is my old Regal square neck, that I sold not long after this session. It was a very sweet box.

Here's a great song form a session job I played a few years back. The CD was a compilation of songs by Noah Paley, a NC songwriter. Many great players on this Session, including Rob Ladd-Don Henley's drummer,Will McFarland -Bonnie Raitt band, Chris Frank-Red Clay Ramblers on piano , Taz Halloween, backup Vocals. We had a blast working on Noah's tunes. Always nice to be able to include the reso on sessions of ecclectic material and an honer to work with such great players and singers.

This is a collaboration from the banjo hangout, with banjo and guitar played by Laurence Diehl , drums, bass and all mixing by John Kuhn and myself on reso. It was posted on the Hangout by Laurence af ew weeks back, but he emailed me and said it would be good to post it here, since it has reso on it and gave me permission to do so. I hope you like our short little acoustic version.

I was Honored to be the resoist on the new "Born Into Bluegrass; The Songs Of Cullyean Galyean". This cut has killer vocals by Mickey Galean and his group "Rich In Tradition" . This CD was cut as Eastwood Studios.

My acoustic Version of this classic Steely Dan hit from the 80's. Im playing banjo and reso on this, with John Kuhn (the Kidd) adding all rhythm tracks and guitar. I got him to add some banjo too. Im playing the first verse solo on banjo and he gets the next verse solo on banjo, then we trade off at the fade out sections. This was cut with my old model 27.

Digging thru computer Mp3s and I found this. I think it was a session from the mid 90's with a group called "Fast Forward". I played banjo and reso on a few demo cuts for them. This was my old Regal square neck.

Heres my version of the Toto classic from the 80's. John Kuhn on drums, keys, guitar, bass and all the mixing. Yours truly on reso and banjos. I tried to follow the original arr. as much as possible, with the exception of the vocals, of course.

Cleaning out some old mp3s and found this. A session job with songwriter Jon Teague. This is one of his originals. I think this session was from 1999. On my model 27...man, that thing records so well.....
