The HEMI with it's new "Silver Vein" powder coated hardware. The plating was wearing off the coverplate (no fault of the builder, I tend to do this with all my guitars!) Getting tired of seeing it like that, I had this done. She's ready for festival season! I hope you don't mind, Steve!

Hey Geoff, I like it. Where did you have that done? I might be interested in doing it ti mine. Is it different hardware or a pwoder coat over the original?

Hey Kim!
That's the original hardware recoated. They stripped the plating and shot the base color, then the clear coat. It's very durable and won't likely come off.
I had this done locally at a place called Bonehead Performance for around $50. They coated the coverplate, rings and tailpiece.
I imagine any place that does powdercoating can handle this for around the same price. What's really neat is there are around 3000 colors to choose from.

Geoff,
That looks really nice. I liked it on your Meredith, and it looks equally good on the Hemi.

Thanks Keith! I think I'll leave the other guitars alone. I don't want to get too far away from tradition! Those two guitars look different to begin with, so I didn't mind having that done.
