A local Santa asked for a 6-string Cigar Box Guitar. This is the mockup with a tune-a-matic bridge, dual under-saddle piezos, and a bolt-on neck, set for a 22-1/2" scale..

A friend is building a couple of these now, one for him and one for me. I think they will only have 4 strings and a high nut for slide playing. Is 22/1/2 a good scale for these?

I've built a bunch of them. I have fretting jigs for a handful of scale lengths, and 22-1/2 worked well with the size of the box and tension of the six strings. I typically do 3 or 4 strings, and can do a longer scale.
