bluegrass style. guitar has a very nice solid sound.
on this guitar I have a Schertler pick up.
Koa is a particular wood. you may like it or not, it really dipends on you. so far I've found it to be a little "stoney". Maple is more sweet. but it's a "big" sound. I like it.

I asked to have black hardware, and it ended to be a very nice choice. the Builder wasn't sure himself at the beginning, but when he finished the work and look at it, he agreed with me. it's nicer, and more elegant.

it is also true that there are many good builder out there, and I'll also like to try another one, another kind of wood, if I have the possibility. I don't for the moment. But everybody are pretty amazed about the sound and the look of this instrument
