This old Model 27 is for sale. It is rather weather beaten but sounds wonderful. This is a round neck with a nut rizer and has a short spider and lugged cone.

It does sound good I bought it from Earl. I am real sorry to hear he died,I talk to him after I received the Dobro.

I will tell Miriam...Earl's widow that you sent this message. Approximately 4 weeks ago I was able to sell Earls, Fiddle, Bruno parlor guitar and a Gibson mandolin.
At the time of Earl's death, he and Miriam were just about financially destitute and had quite a bit of money owed.
Five years prior to Earl's death he asked me to try to help him sell the instruments I mentioned.
Between our local Dobro guys and gals that attend the Dobro Meetings that I schedule plus members of Earl's and Miriam's Church and a few friends.... enough donations were given to Miriam to settle the outstanding debt that they had.
Miriam doesn't know what is going to happen to her since she is in a wheel chair and is trying to survive on $800 a month income. Her food source is from local food banks and some folks from her Church.
FYI...... I presently have Earl's last instrument listed on ebay. It is a Model 60 D Dobro from the 70's or 80's. This Dobro was the primary instrument Earls played with the bands he appeared with over the years.
I plan to keep in touch with Miriam and help here where and when I can. She can be reached at the phone number used when you phoned Earl....back when.
Darrell if you want to be a "friend" at Resohangout....That would be good....let me know.
