Ok otbreso .. you twisted my arm. Here's Cold cold heart. on my new (old) 1950 Gibson Console Grande..Bought it from a fella in Canada. She is almost like bran new. It,s the steel I've wanted since I was about 16. And the Good lord seen fit to let me have one. Its the same color, and guitar that Don Helms played most of his life. Right after I got acquainted with her..The only tune she would let me play on her is Cold cold heart. First time thru I tried to emulate Don Helms.. and the second time thru I DID IT MYYYYY WAY. Wow. That was top-notch on one of my favorites by Hank, Sr. I sang that song many times in my past country band days. Your playing reminded me of the late Tom Windsor who played steel for the Wranglers, a band we played in 1982-84 in Germany. He had quite a past playing with big names in early country times. Tom played a fine fiddle as well. Don Helms would be proud of your playing, Lee. I once played the Skyline Club ( 1968) where Hank, Sr played his last gig before his passing.
