Just picked up a new Reso and can’t find a serial number on headstock or anywhere I can see in the body. Is there anywhere else a serial # could be hiding?
Rick, that's a tough question to answer.
The most common place for a serial # to be found on a dobro is stamped on the top end of the headstock. However, infrequently...they might be hand written inside the body or soundwell.
If you can't find it anywhere then maybe it doesn't exist. Next step, contact the builder if he's still in business and try to get the info you need from him.
Judging from photos available online of this model, there should be a number on the back of the headstock sort of between the lower two tuning machines. Then again....

Welcome aboard Rick.
Dean resonators rarely come up here. And as an FYI, though "roundneck" resonators for standard fretting and bottleneck playing are discussed on occasion, the vast majority of our members are mainly lap-style dobro players using a metal bar on raised string spider bridge reso guitars.
If you haven't figured it out already your best bet is to contact Dean directly. I did some googling and found the form in the link below which might be of help. I'm thinking your guitar is one of their Asian imports so it could be anyone's guess regarding serial number location.
