I am a huge fan of Tommy Emmanuel and of Jerry Douglas (like...who isn’t?).
On Tommy’s website ( tommyemmanuel.com/tours/ ), I see that he is scheduled to appear with Jerry D at six different eastern US venues between April 22 and May 1, 2020. Sadly for me, all those venues are too far from my home in Colorado for me to attend, but for those living within reasonable distances, I just want to give a heads-up that these guys will be playing together and that it is probably going to be amazing.

Tony, you can create a clickable link in blue here by copying and pasting. Make sure you're in "Rich Text."
On your toolbar, to the immediate right of the little smiling emoji guy is a chain link. Click on it.
A box will appear on your screen. Paste the link into the rectangular URL box and hit OK.
This is the result:
Aside from Jerry, Tommy will be doing three shows in Ireland and the UK in a couple weeks with another of my favorites, British acoustic guitarist Clive Carroll. Would love to attend one of those shows!
A little over a year ago when Tommy and Jerry were on a west coast tour, amazingly they bypassed the Bay Area. Both shows in Northern and Central California were too far from me for weeknights due to work. A four hour drive to one and a five plus hour drive to the other.
I wasn't hugely bummed when I later found out the arrangement of the shows. Extensive solo sets by Tommy and Jerry, and they joined together at one point for about three songs. I was under the impression they would be playing together for most of the evening but that wasn't the case. I don't know if that was true for all the stops on that tour, maybe someone who caught one of the performances can fill us in.
Jerry will be back out here for a solo show at Freight & Salvage in Berkeley in late March.
I don’t recall exactly how many songs they did together in SLO, but the show met my expectations well. For that matter, each artist is worthy of solo performance and, even though I have lost count of how many times I have seen Jerry or Tommy, they never fail to entertain.
May have to make that happen. I see they will be at the Keswick Theater about an hour from my home on April 29th. I had planned to go anyway believing it to be a solo Jerry show, but this cemented the deal.
