Stumbled across these years back and figured why not give em a try - anyone recognize these fingerpicks? Seems to spell POUN stamped in the blade but not for certain.
Steel under plating and the band isn’t anything to write home about. But the tone is warm with low noise.
I added the heat shrink tubing to help grip fingers and possibly reduce some clicking. Find myself using shrink tubing like that on most if not all metal fingerpicks.
Seems the main difference regarding mellow tone is influenced by the shape of the blade/spoon. The band is not as comfortable/secure for super fast playing as usual suspects but if I’m needing warmth and low noise these have found a home in my bag of tricks/picks.
I've searched around but haven't turned up anything. Any ideas?
Here's a link to an ad on Reverb for a couple of POUND thumb picks. He also can't find any info on them. You might try posting your question on the Banjo Hangout. There's quite a few more pickers on that hangout that might know something about them.
Thank you - very much appreciated. If I learn something more concrete I’ll post back here.
All the best,
