Has anyone used this function? I just discovered the link today, if you hover over the forums function and select groups this comes up. If anyone has tried it would appreciate your impressions. I didn't create a room, but noticed that it kinda looks like zoom? I may give it a whirl tomorrow.
How interesting, Larry. I had no idea these chat groups existed, even though I apparently joined one (Western Swing) at some point. None of the groups has an active owner anymore, so it’s not likely that the groups are active. I’m curious to see what you find out.
Well, I haven't gotten very far yet, was wicked busy this past weekend, my bad. About the Google Hangout Chatroom, last week when I accidentally landed on some page call the Google Hangout Chatroom, I saw a screen that looked like a watered down zoom site, a microphone icon, a video camera icon..I can't seem to locate this site again does anyone have any knowledge of this or did I some how tap something that just does not exits?
My bad, I found it...again when you hover over the Forums in the upper right you can select Hangout Chatroom. You do need a google account..I will now try again to learn more..So, has anyone tried this and if not would folks like to give it a go?
We're testing out Google Hangouts as our new live video/audio/IM chat platform. Click below for access.

A few notes about Google Hangouts:
You need a Google account in order to access the Hangouts. If you don't have a Google account, you can create one free here.
It works best if you wear headphones, or turn off your mic in order to avoid feedback/echo, since the room allows for multiple audio streams at the same time.
Please don't remain logged in if you are away from your computer, as that just takes up space someone else could be using.
If you can't get in, make sure your system meets the Google Hangout system requirements.
I think it via Google meet

How to Make Your Virtual Jam Session Sound—and Look—Good
Before you begin, a word of warning: “It’s a manual job,” says Ed Blunt, the director of the London choir Camden Voices and its viral rendition of “True Colors” (1.6 million views). “There’s no plug-in or app that does this kind of thing.”
Eric Whitacre is the Grammy-winning composer who, in 2010, created what’s considered the very first virtual choir (6.4 million views).
“People write to me and ask, ‘How do we make one?’” he says. “I say, ‘Just don’t. Please. Your life will be so much better without this.’”
