I'm planning out my first dobro build, and im trying to figure out the best way to build the support lip for the cone... Does anyone have any pictures or any advice on how to build this?
Thanks in advance.

You should look at Schoonover Guitars Facebook page, Rayco Resophonics Facebook page, Byrl Guitars Facebook page and look back in their pictures. I’m sure I’ve seen pics of them during the building process where you can see pretty clearly what their cone shelf looks like and how it’s built. I’d say beard guitars as well but I can’t recall many pics of their guitars in the construction stages...

A very comprehensive syllabus (57 pages!) on how to build a resonator guitar by Gary Dusina. I first met Gary about 18 years ago at a Jimmy Heffernan workshop here in Northern California. He brought one of the guitars he built with him. It was very nice.
