I was not aware that when I bought my new Beard that it also doubled as a time machine! I sat down to play just a couple of tunes this afternoon and before I knew it over two hours had passed me by.

Try winding the strings in the other direction on the tuners - maybe time will run backwards!

Having played my reso since 1953, I have many thousands of hours behind me whether performing on stage, TV, recording sessions , movies, or in private... all those hours of practice prior to doing that have been very inspirational to keep me motivated to continue on my journey to perfect my sound. My advice to all of you is to do the same. I am 85 years old and encourage you to do the same !

On the other hand, I found a way to slow time down. When I ordered my custom Beard E model, the delivery estimate was about 6 months, and time sloowed ddoowwnn and was reeeeeaaaallll sssllloooooooooowwww until I received it. laugh

I hear you, after I ordered my Beard the week that it took to arrive seemed like a month.

It's a good thing you guys didn't order a Scheerhorn back when Tim was still building on a regular basis - at one point the wait was four years.

When I ordered my Clinesmith in  2003 I picked up the guitar 10 months later in June, 2004. I don't know what the wait is now for one of his resos since he is perpetually backed up with electric steel guitar orders. It's been awhile since I've spoken with Todd but I'm thinking at minimum a year and a half wait time.

No, I bought it from the Guitar Sanctuary in Texas. At that time they had the only one know in captivity. The do seem to get some high end Beards in on a regular basis. And no Gen-Xer here, just an old fart with a love for good instruments!!
