I'm sure this is true, Mark. I suspect I've had multiple factors contributing to feedback. My only conclusion is that plugging the screen holes addressed the biggest culprit (bass frequencies booming through the body) which in turn has kept the whole rig below the feedback threshold.
Keeping in mind also, I play Open D...
